ERGÉSIS
Chapter B
THE FALL
The Fall!
…into the unbearable slowness.
…into the paradox of overpressure.
…into darkness.
In the agony of inverted unnaturalness,
every thread in Noa’s current,
every filament of her thought,
every tremor of her being
was torn into…
A Crash!
A flood of sparks filled the void of lack.
It sang in silence through the stream of Nothing.
It caused the birth of Something.
And…
Thus the Shadow stirred—
of Light,
of Time and of Space.
And Noa yielded:
…to the collapse of herself into a single point,
…to the loss of her original form,
…to a changed shape.
And the Unseeing one opened his eyes.
Separation into after—
after into separation.
And he declared…
I Am!
